Additions to PSP Budget Range Announced

Posted May 17, 2010 by Nick Proud in Industry News, News.

The PSP Platinum range is great. Why? Because it offers top titles at low prices.

Beautiful.

Earlier this week we talked about how Sony is releasing the range in Europe with classics such as Loco Roco and Patapon 2. (Spongebob Yellow Avenger was also mentioned which our very own Jack Fish is extremely excited for.)

If the original line-up was not enough, it has now been confirmed that European retailers will be stocking up on platinum versions of the following titles:

  • LittleBigPlanet
  •  Loco Roco 2
  • Jak and Daxter: The Lost Frontier
  • Motorstorm
  • Arctic Edge
  • Resistance: Retribution
  • Gran Turismo

Recommended Retail Price is still set at £14.99 which guarantees that gamers looking to complete their collection of classic PSP titles will be able to acquire them for at least this price brand new. Here’s hoping for promo campaigns in stores upon the range’s launch.

Still no word on whether this will be hitting the US. Something has to be decided soon as I’m sure nobody would blame American gamers for being a little sore about the range’s current European exclusivity.

  1. While I do dig the new announces for PSP Platinum, I feel there’s a more pressing matter to address. You should be excited for Spongebob Yellow Avenger, too. That quirky, absorbent fry-cook is so commonly dismissed…
