Actual Light Gun Coming To Wii

Since the Wii remote was first unveiled, many wanted it to operate like an old school light gun for certain titles.
Unfortunately, even with the ‘Wii Zapper’ accessory that made it look like a gun, it still wasn’t a true light gun. It seems that is set to change after this years E3 Expo in LA, as Innex today announced via press release the Rapid Shot, the first light gun style accessory for the Wii that actually does away with the need for the Wii remote and Nunchuk.
The press release gave little details other than it will also have an optional USB rechargable battery pack, a built in speaker and rumble function and, this is the best bit, the magazine detach’s to form the battery housing. The gun itself (pictured above) is designed to look like the classic Heckler and Koch MP5 sub machine gun and it will certainly be interesting trying to play Super Mario Galaxy 2 with one.
