7-Eleven To Sell Used Games

Posted April 20, 2010 by Lee Vanden Busch in Gamer Culture, Industry News, News.

7-Eleven, the ubiquitous convenience store chain known for it’s trademark Slurpee drink, has decided to sell something other than just beef jerky and snacks; the chain will soon start selling used games as well.

The store has gotten into business with Game Trading Technologies , a company specializing in used games to offer “Great Games Under $20″ at most 7-Eleven locations by September.

This isn’t the first time 7-Eleven has waded into the gaming waters, having previously sold Halo 3 when that juggernaut was released.

I live in the Midwest and unfortunately am deprived of the magic that is 7-Eleven so I won’t be able to experience this phenomenon for myself.  Finding used games isn’t really that tough anymore, so 7-Eleven won’t exactly be blazing a new trail, but I suppose good games for cheap is never a bad thing,
