Last year, Braid took the world of gaming by surprise. A downloadable title, more expensive than most, that was put together by two individuals over the course of a few years turned out to be both an amazing game and one of the few “art games” for the system thus far.
According to the job postings on his official blog, he is looking for both a 3D artist and a 3D environment concept artist, contrary to his earlier statement that his latest project would be a 2D role-playing game. It’s possible that the project will be worked on in tandem with this 3D job, that the 2D game has been shelved, or that it’ll be out sooner than we think.
As for what is going to happen to Braid, in an email to EndSights he said “There are still some Braid things that are going to happen, but often those are being worked on by other developers now”. Braid is one of the few games that I’ve been emotionally moved from, and I’m looking forward to anything else that Blow does.
