WoW: Star Horse? That’ll Be $25

If you like ponies made of stars, play Warcraft, AND just happen to have $25 just laying around, today may be your lucky day my friend.

Blizzard has continued on its path down the micro-transaction road this week by offering a purchasable mount in it’s online store.  Like the non-combat pets that were offered earlier in the year, players simply buy the mount online and it will become available to all characters on said account.

The mount itself is a star filled beauty called the Celestial Steed and features a fully scaling riding experience. In other words, the higher trained your riding skill is, that’s how fast your horsey will go.

I’ll admit that the whole idea of buying things that can actually effect gameplay (though mounts are nothing, if not easy, to obtain) makes me a little uneasy.  Pets? Ok sure, they’re just vanity items.  But a mount that will essentially make getting anything else in game obsolete? I’m still working that out.

I still kind of want one though… Does that make me a bad person?
