Mozilla On Firefox For PlayStation 3
Rumours are bouncing about the Internet about browser company Mozilla bring popular alternative web browser Firefox to the PlayStation 3.
The rumour was started by an ‘insider’ who said a credible source told them that the PS3 was getting the updated browser. However, when Mozilla were contacted about the rumour they rather abruptly said:
“Nope – not sure how that rumour got started but its been keeping us busy all day long
”
So no Firefox for PS3 then, shame, it would have been kind of cool to have a fiery fox run across the XMB from time to time. Anyway, the ‘insider’ at the centre of the rumour has previously started a few, such as the PS3 slim that everyone knew about, but also ones that weren’t true, so credibility was an issue to begin with.

If it will be any browser it will be google chrome.
Reason is Sony just penned a deal with them to put it on some of there laptops and PCs.
Why would Sony want to further split it people by sorting out a separate deal with Mozilla, when it would probably take them near days to sought out a amendment with there current deal with Google, Google would be eager for such a deal. An would offer sony there own program people to carry out the work needed to integrate PS3 with google chrome.
There also a other reason, there people must already be working with the google android browser which is directly related to chrome an I believe share a common code base.
To me if they go Mozilla would show the Sony is running there business inefficiently.
This from the beginning never sounded like a real rumour to begin with.
One thing the ps3 needs is a good browser,and Firefox on my PC has been a blessing.With all of its add-ons and features i will never go back to I E.
Sony should team up with them and sell it as a awesome feature and not just a bullet point.On their already beast of a console.
