ZuneHD On The Way
The US will soon be receiving a brand new Zune with HD capabilities. The Microsoft roundtable came up with the suitable name: ZuneHD.
Set to be released in the fall, the new machine offers a ‘16:9 widescreen touch display, built-in HD Radio receiver, full-screen internet browser optimised for multi-touch and Wi-Fi functionality.’
This may not be the news that gamers wanted to hear, especially with rumours of a gaming-enabled Zune on the horizon.
However, Chris Stevenson, Microsoft’s General Manager of Consumer Marketing for TV, Video and Music Business had this to say:
“we want to step up, and we’ll have more announcements around that in the future.”
Well, that’s that for now. No gaming Zune, although it looks like one will materialise eventually.
