Fils-Aime: Mario Will Out Sell Modern Warfare 2 By End Of January
Nintendo have been talking a big game recently, none more so than Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Aime, who has made a bold statement this week.
The executive has stated that he believes that upcoming co-op platformer New Super Mario Bros Wii will out sell upcoming juggernaut Modern Warfare 2 on one system by the end of January 2010. Obviously, MW2 is a multiplatform release so total sales will probably exceed the number that of Super Mario Bros but on one system, PlayStation 3 for example, it could be beat out.
Only time will tell if Mr Fils-Aime’s statement will come true, but given the pedigree of Mario titles it could come true. Roll on January to find out.
