I wish that more developers, especially of musical games, would do this more often. Available now is the soundtrack from the Wiimote-tilting WiiWare title BIT.TRIP BEAT. What I wouldn’t give for a Rock Band soundtrack…

Available now from CDBaby, and soon to be available from iTunes, Amazon, eMusic, Napster, and “a slew of other music retail services on 10/27/09″.

If you want to give it a listen for yourself, head over to CDBaby, as they’ve got some previews of each song. You can grab one song at a time from the 9 song album for $0.99, or the entire set for $5.99.

Be warned, five of the songs are under a minute in length, but for as much as I paid for a mediocre fast-food meal on Tuesday, I could have had innumerable hours of enjoyment from this soundtrack. Actually, ‘chiptuned’ music really isn’t my thing. But it might be yours! Check it out and see.
