414QehR7VwL. SL500 AA280 Amazon Begins Offering WiiWare TitlesAmazon extends its reach yet again as it begins to offer WiiWare titles. This follows the launch of a store where users can purchase Xbox Live Arcade games.

There has been no official announcement of Amazon getting into the WiiWare market. Currently only the title World of Goo is available for purchase. This could mean that the title is Amazon testing the waters before unveiling a fully fledged WiiWare store.

Like XBLA users who purchase games through the Amazon store get a code which they can redeem through the  Wii Shop Channel where they can then download the game.

Potentially this could create great savings for users. When purchasing from the XBLA or Wii Shop players are forced to buy points in brackets, which can then be hard to redeem for full value. There are still a scant few hundred points left on my Xbox Live account which are too few to redeem anything, this money is merely wasted. The left over points just sit there taunting you and your inability to use them. Why must they torment me so? With the Amazon store the user pays only for what they want. This development could make the whole process a lot more tantalizing.

Currently this offer is only valid to US costumers, but if it does well here expect to see it expanded into all major territories.
