3D Dot Game Heroes shows that 2.5D is the new 3D
Back in the day, if a game did 3D, it was totally rad, bodacious, and other 90’s slang. Now though, it seems like every game that does 2.5D is the cat’s pajamas.
This trailer may get some people hot and bothered about how similar it is to Zelda, but nobody was upset when Shadow Complex used several elements of Metroid. Although, you could say that the trend of today is to steal ideas Nintendo had twenty years ago…
Looking at the trailer, there are some suspicious similarities to Zelda, but that can be said about any game that decides it wants a boomerang these days. Maybe it’s because Zelda has done everything that everyone finds so many similarities?
