princecover Prince Goes Unnoticed

The producer of the Prince series Ben Mattes says that his game should have been praised more for taking creative risk. Stating: “We set out to keep a few core fundamentals but to re-imagine everything else, discarding some very well entrenched ideas not only about the brand but also about videogames in general,” Mattes said. “What surprises me is how little these high level risks seem to be noticed and appreciated as attempts to shake up the industry and push things forward.” I feel as though he’s going a little overboard with the statements. The newest Prince was a good game but nothing extraordinary.

What did they expect? They butchered the entire concept and made some retarded gorgeous looking game… Are they brainless enough to think that some uber looking graphics can save the retarded gameplay, where you CAN’T DIE?!?! Like wtf!?!

It was mainstreamed for casual gamers, a few new gimmicks were thrown in and just about everything that made POP great was taken out.

    Risky indeed. XD

Ripping off two of the greatest all time games makes it original and high risk?

What do you expect when the game seems to copy Shadow of the Colossus, and apparently TMNT.

game was repetitive and didn’t have a lot of game play variety, why cause it was limited by the 360 just as assassin creed

I only got this at the weekend, after weighing up if to buy it or not. I think artistically the game looks great, the gameplay is okay but I’ve played better.
