Prince of Persia Movie Setting High Expectations
We’ve been hearing a great deal about this upcoming Prince of Persia movie recently. Jake Gyllenhaal’s is reported by Gamespot as saying that:
What we hear is that it could be maybe stronger than Pirates [of the Caribean], which did $2.7 billion dollars. I think this will really help our brand to become a major brand in this industry.
The fact that they are thinking of branding the Prince of Persia movie makes one think that they may be planning on more than one of these shows. Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time movie follows the plot of the game very closely as the titular Prince uses a magical dagger to travel through time to save the kingdom. This game was closely followed by The Warrior Within and Two Thrones before Ubisoft started the series anew with Prince of Persia. If the movies are planning on developing into a series, we could be looking at a trilogy based off of the three games prior to Prince of Persia.
