The Future Of Shooters? RPG’s Says Bleszinski
Outspoken designer of Gears Of War has given a few comments on what he believes is the future of shooters.
Cliff Bleszinski made the comments during an interview, saying the following:
“I had a conversation with Harvey Smith – one of the lead designers on Deus Ex – and said to him the future of shooters is RPGs. He said he completely agreed.”
Though he would give no details as to the direction a certain mega hit franchise is going, and indeed, if RPG elements would be included, he did say that Bioshock is a great game:
“There was a time when the industry warmed down,” Bleszinski added, “and then Bioshock came along.”
We just have to wait and see as to what Gears will bring next.
