Dragon Age 500 x 125

If you’re going to play on easy, odds are you want an easy experience. Or in some cases, you want an experience that doesn’t leave you with three broken ribs and some slight internal bleeding.

People playing on easy in Dragon Age were, apparently, confronted with the hard, cold truth that easy was the new regular or something along those lines. I was playing on regular, like a regular person. The patch notes as posted about how easy easy has become over at the Bioware forums are:

* fixed potential corruption of character statistics
* fixed portrait appearance sliders when importing a character from the
downloadable Character Creator
* fixed import for preset face settings from the downloadable Character
Creator
* made Easy difficulty easier
* slightly increased attack, defense, and damage scores for all party
members at Normal difficulty
* fixed video issues when running on a very wide screen display, including
ATI Eyefinity displays

I guess character corruption is bad too.

A friend of mine is convinced that all PC developers hate ATI, and the obviously purposeful bug that was included to target ATI exclusively is what I’d call decisive evidence…I’ve been playing too much Phoenix Wright.
