Details Emerge of Yet Another Eve Online Heist

It is being reported that over 200 Billion ISK has been embezzled from the Ebank in Eve Online by its Chief Executive. According to the reports, the banks Chief Executive known as Ricdic in the game, decided to exchange the ISK amounting to about 8% of the Banks holdings for real world currency worth ~£3100. When details of the theft emerged, it caused a run on the virtual bank, mirroring what occurred to real banks like Northern Rock during the Credit Crunch.
It has been revealed that Ricdic is a 27 year old Australian, whose first name is Richard. He has since excused his actions by stating he needed the money to cover medical bills and a deposit for his house.
While Richard was expelled from Eve Online, this action was solely due to breaking the rules on trading ISK, rather than for the theft itself which is permissible in Eve Online. It remains to be seen if any real world sanction results from this “virtual crime” given that the ISK was traded for real world currency.
