Dedicated Servers For AvP
After all the outrage that the PC version of Modern Warfare 2 would not support dedicated servers, gamers can rest easy knowing at least one title will support them.
The upcoming Aliens Vs Predator game will support dedicated servers on the PC, its developer Rebellion said today. There had been rumours that AVP would not support the feature, but Rebellion CEO Jason Kingsley said the following:
“Despite rumours, Rebellion has always been planning to support dedicated servers for Aliens vs Predator PC and we can now officially confirm that this is the case. Rebellion has always appreciated fan support,. We’re really looking forward to the release of Aliens vs Predator as much as you guys are!”
The game is set for release in February 2010 on PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 and is sure to be less controversial than other PC games recently.
