Capcom to release 7 games before Q2 2009
Capcom revealed today that seven of its upcoming titles will be released by the first half of 2009. This follows Capcoms strategy to release more multiformat games to expand its ever growing portfolio. This year we will see some great titles from Capcom, some re-invented classics to some long awaited releases.
Flock! – Available in February and the first downloadable game from Capcom for 2009, Flock! Will put players in control of a UFO that must herd animals together and beam them back to the mothership. 50 levels will be available as well as a online co-op mode and level editor. Available on Xbox Live Arcade and Playstation Network.
Street Fighter IV – On February 20th, prepare to eat and face full of nostalgia pie because Capcom will bring gamers Street Fighter IV which will see this old but lovable fighting series include new characters, moves, locations and gameplay elements but sticking true to Street Fighter II era. Available on Xbox 360 and Playstation 3. PC released date to be confirmed shortly.
Dead Rising Chop Till You Drop – February 27th will see Wii owners be able to take apart those zombies at the very swing of your Wii remote. Simple yet effective zombie killing fun!
Neopets Puzzle Adventure – Nintendo DS owners will get this little game the same time as Dead Rising on the Wii. To be released February 27th, Neopets will see gamers play through over 150 quests that spam over three mythical lands, perfect for the DS and for puzzle nuts everywhere!
Resident Evil 5 – So unless you have been living under a rock since Resident Evil 4, you will know that Resident Evil 5 is shaping up into a very, very tasty looking game. Improving from RE4, RE5 will add new gameplay elements and will offer an online co-op mode. Scheduled for March 13th (Friday the 13th!) on both Playstation 3 and Xbox 360.
MotoGp – Set to be released on the Wii, MotoGP will turn your Wii remote into a pair of handlebars where players must compete in races. Set to released in March.
Bionic Commando – Finally, the last of the seven, we see Bionic Commando, the re-imagining of the side-scrolling classic and a true sequel to the old retro title. Available on Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 soon.
