Indie game developer Tale of Tales makes some pretty controversial games, just look at its recent horror game The Path. Indie developers often have the advantage of making games that are a bit, shall we say, risqué? Well check out what Auriea Harvey and Michael Samyn of Tale of Tales has to say about its new project, codenamed Fatale:

”"Fatale” is based on the legend of Salomé, who, 2000 years ago, demanded the head of John the Baptist as a reward for dancing for her stepfather, King Herod. Oscar Wilde’s 1891 interpretation of Salomé as a young woman in love with the prophet is the main inspiration for the project.”

For all of you who aren’t hip to Bible stories, or Oscar Wilde’s interpretation of such stories, the legend of Salomé is pretty intense, even for the Bible. An English performance of Wilde’s Salomé has not been portrayed for nearly 50 years because of its portrayal of certain biblical figures.

The indie developers say Fatale will be similar to their 2008 title The Graveyard, and will allow the gamer to experience the gripping story through frozen moments in time.

Look for this title on October 5.
