Age of Conan lures players back with goodies
To try and pull their former user-base back to being their current-user-base, you get all sorts of things for different size of your subscription.
From what I remember during my short time with Age of Conan, most of the players were former World of Warcraft-ers who abandoned it for seemingly greener pastures. Once the next big patch or expansion for WoW hit, AoC became a ghost-town. What little I follow of WoW tells me that there is a lull right now, with anything “big” still being on the horizon, so now is as good a time as any for Funcom to dip into the pool agian. The goodies for subscribing are as follows:
- Subscribing for 1 month gives 7 days extra game time for no additional cost
- Subscribing for 3 months also guarantees a spot in open beta for The Secret World
- Subscribing for 6 months also gives a level 40 helmet with a 10% XP modifier
- Subscribing for 12 months also gives a free copy of the Rise of the Godslayer expansion
They’re even going so far as to give you the entire expansion. I guess they’re either crazy or desperate, but props on the synergy with The Secret World beta. If they’ve beefed up their end-game and post-Tortage content, I’d say go for it.
