Twitter, Facebook and Last.FM are Too Cool for the Kids…For Now
Anyone in the Preview Program under the age of 18 has yet to get their hands on any of the key features of the update. It’s also going to stay that way when the update is officially launched.
As it stands, Twitter, Facebook and Last.FM are currently only available to Gold subscribers in the Preview Program that are above the age of 18. Anyone under that cannot access the applications. The problem Microsoft have is that their Family Settings do not currently allow parents to decide which applications their children can access.
Microsoft are currently working on a patch (or an update to the update) that will launch within a few weeks of the update’s release. This will allow parents to decide precisely what their children have access to.
If this is an issue you are closely linked to, check out Major Nelson’s blog post for the official line from Microsoft.

That’s crazy, seeing as that age group would seem like the one of the bigger audiences for those apps!
