Pandemic Making Battlefront 3?

The fine folks at videogaming247 are reporting a shadowy rumor from an “insider source” that the believed-to-be-dead Star Wars: Battlefront 3 may have some life in it yet.
The game was being developed by Free Radical Design, but the dreaded bankruptcy monster forced the studio to cut costs. While Battlefront 3’s fate was up in the air, all sorts of insane goodies began leaking onto the Internet. First, tech demo footage teased hungry Battlefront fans by showing a player controlled character hop aboard a spaceship, fly through the atmosphere, fall into orbit, and dock inside another ship–all with no load screens! Then, Kotaku posted concept art of a grizzled, Sith-loving Obi-Wan Kenobi–hinting at some pretty significant plot twists.
All the “what if” speculation built the fans into a lather, so here’s hoping the rumor is true and original Battlefront developer Pandemic Studios have picked up the game. EA, Pandemic’s parent company, have yet to comment, but videogaming247 seem very confident in their source.
If Pandemic sticks to Free Radical’s original plot, what do you think it is that turns Obi-Wan to the Dark Side? Personally, I’m not too surprised. All that “from a certain point of view” business was really just a smokescreen to hide the sad fact that Kenobi is a compulsive liar.
