Left 4 Dead 2 DLC Not Happening After All
As soon as it was here the supposed DLC for Left 4 Dead 2 has been dismissed by Valve’s Chet Faliszek. Originally the PC demo for the title featured an error message regarding downloadable content with the names Miracle pack and Apocalyptic pack; along with the option to download them from either Steam or Xbox Live.
However it seems people have read too far into the message. As at the recent Eurogamer Chet Faliszek had this to say.
If you’re reading in the forums and you’re reading about the “Miracle” DLC or whatever, that’s test code. To get tested through Microsoft certification we had to do test scenarios with DLC. We haven’t actually come out internally with what we’re going to do yet.
A lack of an expansion for such a hyped game may come as a blow but at least it shows Valve aren’t holding anything back for DLC as some had pointed out. Either way we haven’t even got the actual game yet, which should tie gamers over till the eventual DLC does happen, and when it does BeefJack will let you know about it.
