New GTAIV DLC In 2010?
An Industry analyst has predict more downloadable content for Grand Theft Auto IV.
Todd Mitchell of Kaufman Bros. Equity Research predicts that 2010 will bring two more DLC packs for the title and that they may not be Xbox 360 exclusive, as the current packs are.
“I would expect that there would be two more pieces of downloadable content for GTA IV, that’s what has been indicated to me, although formats are unsure. It’s been indicated to me to me that would be the case.”
The year after will see the release of the next full game in the series, Grand Theft Auto V, or at the very least a new game on PlayStation 2, according to Mitchel.
“Coming out of E3 there was no commitment to a new Grand Theft Auto, and I think that’s because of Rockstar’s track record with delivering on time.”
“Of the three, I’m least confident in saying for sure there will be a new GTA for PlayStation 2, but the track record shows that PSP titles have been repositioned [on PS2].”
In parting words Mitchell also stated that he sees Take Two, RockStar’s parent company as no longer a one hit wonder, and is becoming a proper company with titles like Agent and Bioshock 2 coming.
