Grand Theft Auto DLC NOT coming to PS3 – Updated
If you had been browsing some other gaming sites this morning (21st August), you may have seen a story based on a now deleted forum post by Official PlayStation Community mod Yaster which stated:
“they were certainly showing some PS3 love – Grand Theft Auto: The Lost and the Damned was available to play in a special 18+ area”
This story had emerged as The Lost and the Damned had been seen playing at Gamescom in a fenced off area which had a lot of PS3’s. However, according to TheSixthAxis this was simply images of the disc based 360 version that happened to be playing on screens near them.
In this case I am inclined to believe TheSixthAxis. Since if the game was running at a PUBLIC event such as Gamescom, there would have been some form of official announcement from Rockstar or Take Two beforehand. This is regardless of if the game was showing in a private booth, due to the virtual certainty of the story leaking out.
It is still possible that the GTAIV DLC will come to the PS3 at some point. However, I doubt that if it is coming, that it will be confirmed before the release of The Ballad of Gay Tony on October 29th.
UPDATE: – This has now been confirmed to be the case by Rockstar who told VG247 that;
“The Lost and Damned and The Ballad of Gay Tony are both exclusive to Xbox 360.”

Why should the PS3 not get updates it is far better than the 360, better graphics as standard, hard drive as standard
Rockstar started off with Playstation before IV then released onto the Xbox later on so why has it all changed, if u ask me Microsofts paying Rockstar to keep it away from the PS3 so they can make more money

Every single grand theft auto game realeased were exclusively for Playstation until months after releasing San Andreas, and now they’re doing this?
Sony had the chance to release the two DLCs along with 360 but they think its just a waste to spend money on DLCs but I recently read that GTAIV: Blood and a Four Leaf Clover could get a PS3/360 release sometime next year and rumor has it that GTAV will be PS3 exclusive along with other R* titles with it because of 360’s memory space a DVD could hold but this is just rumor so 360 might get a GTAV sometime after PS3’s exclusive release whil Microsoft figures out away to make GTAV available to play on the 360.
Don’t know if this is right but I heard from people who are high up that they were thinking of a dlc for ps3 called blood of the four leaf clover. Yes that means the Irish are back so hopfully it will be in psn soon. This was in July. So yeah enjoy
This is stupid, why wouldn’t tey release it for PS3?
So microsoft paid 50mil big deal, just release it for PS3 behind their backs!
It’ll probally be like Fallout 3, be for 360 and PC only, ten a while later, PS3!
I think the main reason for this is Microsofts 50 million dollar donation for the development of these DLCs. I would imagine that throwing that much money in to something would serve as some kind of copyright claim for the xbox.
But this is just speculation
