New Gears of War Female Character
Epic Games President, Mike Capps has combined with Joshua Ortega to reveal a female Gears of War character. One of the very few female characters in the COG is a scout named Alex.
Alex will appear in the ninth Gears of War comic that is set to be released tomorrow from DC Comics and is also the cover star.
The official blurb of the comic gives a teaser of what is to come:
“Following a distress signal from the overrun city of Jilane, Delta Squad is dispatched to investigate with the help of a unique “scout” named Alex. The team, with the help of Sigma Squad, will explore one of the darker elements of the Gears universe, and to tell this unique and harrowing tale, series writer Joshua Ortega will be joined by Epic Games president Mike Capps! Further exploring the world of the sensational hit video game!”
Judging from the cover art, Alex seems to be your stereotypical videogame tough girl. We only hope that she doesn’t speak in the same gruff tones as Marcus.

Ronald Weasley* I mean that’s cool there is going to be a girl now. but damn she could of looked a hell of a lot more bad-ass and Cog-ish i mean she doesn’t even have any scars or anything i mean she doesn’t need to look all butch but damn if she’s going to be apart of the cog she needs to look like shes been to hell and back. there ain’t no way you can fight and not come out a little bloody. look at her face not a scratch.. thats all i’m saying we got Lindsay Lohan trying to pull of a bob on the cog team.
