Gears of War 2 Double XP Halloween Weekend
Over on the official Epic Games Forums, Rod Fergusson has announced the next Double XP weekend for Gears of War 2 will take place during Haloween.
The “All Hollows’ Eve” Double XP Event will span from the morning of October 30th - November 2nd. It will be released to celebrate Haloween as well as Title Update 5,which goes live on October 26th.
Players will earn double experience on all competitive multiplayer and Horde with bonus XP handed to the winning teams.
As with previous Double XP events, Epic have altered the game slightly to match the event. In this case, Boomers of all kinds will be more prominent and able to feature in any wave. Mauler’s have also been pulled to ensure players don’t simply camp behind their dropped shields.
