2444185 Final Fantasy XIII North America and Europe Sites Begin Countdown

The official North American and European sites for Final Fantasy XIII have recently opened, displaying a single flash-based picture with a countdown timer winding down to Wednesday next week.

Details on the details  are unknown until the site opens proper, but eager fans can gawk at the official Japanese page for a look at some lovely pictures and even lovelier music. Will the other sites feature similar content or, possibly, more? Perhaps English translated profiles on the revealed characters, streaming trailers, or even a tentative release date that suggests that Square-Enix will finally work toward a worldwide simultaneous release of their most popular RPG series?

Find out next week, but don’t get your hopes up on the latter. Okay, they can get up a little.

All I’ve seen so far points to a US release over a year from now :( ((

  • I’m keeping my ignorant belief that the dude from Square who said it wouldn’t be out until April 2010 didn’t know what he was talking about. Who decides a year and a half from now when an unfinished game would hit other territories?

Maybe MS and Sony should throw money at them. A lot of money.
