Final Assassin’s Creed 2 dev diary teases much, spoils some
Before Fall really got going, I pre-ordered three games. Brutal Legend, Batman, and Assassin’s Creed 2, the three games that I was most excited for. Batman did not dissapoint, Brutal Legend has a few things people don’t agree with but I love it anyways. Assassin’s Creed 2 is, by far, the game I’ve been looking forward to the most.
I’ve already had a few details about how AC2 kicks off spoiled for me, and I seriously wish I hadn’t heard them. For you kids out there who don’t want any detail of the game revealed, avoid this final dev diary at all costs. The rest of you who just want new cities to run/glide around in or don’t care about the story being spoiled, watch it below:
Looking back, I kinda wish I hadn’t watched it, or any of the developer diaries until I had finished the game. They’re hardly ‘diaries’ though, they’re more promotional material that happens to have developers speaking.
Sure there was some neat ‘behind the scenes’ stuff from the historian, but unless there are expanded diaries somewhere they perform the same function as commercials or gameplay demos.
Stepping back, if I didn’t care about the story being spoiled as much as I do I think it’s awesome we get to see…new things. I’d be explicit, but, you know…spoilers.
