Far Cry 2 Title Update Includes “Hardcore Mode”
Ubisoft has released a title update for Far Cry 2 that adds new features, fixes problems and comes complete with a ‘wholehearted’ apology.
As well as adding Hardcore Mode that makes all weapons extremely powerful to add realism, the patch also addresses the main gripe that some fans have had with the game:
- Reduce significantly the probability of having a corrupted save game
This is where Ubisoft have apologised to fans that have lost hours of gameplay to a corrupt save file. They have extensively tested the areas where it may occur and believe they have found the solution.
The update should be available the next time you pop the disc in your Xbox 360 disc tray. (The update will be available to PC and PS3 owners shortly).
