dragon Double Dragon and Speedball 2 Removed From Xbox Live Marketplace UPDATED

Those of you who may remember the earlier generation of video games will probably remember Double Dragon if not Speedball 2, unfortunately company Empire Interactive who was behind both was recently shut down in May of this year. Despite no official announcement the two games which were ported to Xbox Live have been removed.

If you downloaded the games there is no need to worry as they haven’t been deleted from hard drives but at the moment there is no possible way to re-download them either. Whether or not this will be rectified in the near future is currently unknown.

UPDATE

If you have previously downloaded either game but subsequently deleted them, they can still be redownloaded by using the download history part of Account Management in the Xbox 360 Guide Interface, or by using the purchase history section on Xbox.com. I have tried this with Speedball 2 and it works. It is a pain to find games however, as in both methods items are sorted in chronological order with the newest download first. (Charles McManamy)
