The Resident Evil films are awful, the first one was an ok survival action movie that didn’t resemble the game at all. Then you had one that took what the game offered and changed everything around, resulting in an even worse movie that if nothing else, mocked the source material. Then the third, which is nothing more than an insult to everything Capcom created.

But oh no the ever so talented Paul Anderson isn’t stopping there is he?

In a world ravaged by a virus infection, turning its victims into the Undead, Alice continues on her journey to find survivors and lead them to safety. Her deadly battle with the Umbrella Corporation reaches new heights, but Alice gets some unexpected help from an old friend. A new lead that promises a safe haven from the Undead leads them to Los Angeles, but when they arrive the city is overrun by thousands of Undead and Alice and her comrades are about to step into a deadly trap.

You know, some director should take the licence and make Resident Evil films the way they should be and call them Biohazard. If any game can become a film easily and successfully it’s Resident Evil, I suppose it took the mammoth idiocy of Paul Anderson to miss the mark.

Regardless the next film is called Resident Evil: Afterlife and with a set plot down it won’t be long till we can sit through another hour and half waiting for something replicating the Resident Evil franchise with any decency to happen. Oh Mila, you’ll always be remembered as the beautiful girl who was obsessed with a multi-pass to me.
