Memorial Day MMO Sale

It’s time to celebrate Memorial Day the way all American holidays are meant to be spent. By buying stuff.

From May 22nd until May 29th, Rappelz is having a Memorial Day Sale. For those of you unfamiliar with Rappels, it is an absolutely free Massive Multiplayer Online (MMO) game that mimics the core mechanics of World of Warcraft, and the fantasy style of Final Fantasy 11.

The sale itself is for optional items. Outside the game, you can pay real cash to purchase GP, similar to XBOX Live and WiiWare’s point system. With these points you can purchase in game potions, additional costumes, and additional pets that are in no way mandatory to the actual gameplay.

For those of you interested in getting into the MMO scene, but don’t want to fork over the cash, I highly recommend Rappelz. While World of Warcraft leaves all the other MMO’s in the dust due to its popularity, Rappelz offers an almost identical, enjoyable gameplay, while eliminating the over-exaggerated art style. All that and much much more for free. So be open minded and enjoy all the fun MMO’s out there. But always remember, you have a life that you have to come back to, no matter how much you want to get that new weapon.
