Latest Red Faction DLC adds maps, modes, walking death robots
I’ve heard some people say they love Red Faction, yet hate it. That Volition made this great world, great engine, and great hammer-smashing fun. But then, like 2007’s Assassin’s Creed, didn’t put a very good game around it. I’m on the fence, and have yet to finish it (and loved AC), but one thing I’ve never heard anyone complain about is the multiplayer.
With The Smasher Pack, this new DLC, you’ll be able to pilot/fight with the walker mechs from the single player. I’ve only run into two, but both times they were pretty rad. And the prospect of running around as one of these, smashing other player’s faces in sounds like a gay old time. Also, eight new maps for Wrecking Crew!
Coming October 1st for 400 Microsoft Points for 360 owners and 5$ for PS3 owners. They’re really pushing out the DLC, the game has only been out since around June, and they’re already on their third. Some games are lucky to get any DLC at all, and even then it’s usually once a year, ala Halo 3.
