Interview reveals that Tim Schafer is lonely
There is an absolutely enormous interview with Tim Schafer up over on GamePro that you absolutely should check out. All sorts of great questions are asked with Mr. Schafer giving even better answers. They even manage to get off-topic and start talking about some movie with Tom Cruise.
I did ask myself a few of these questions while playing Brutal Legend myself, like why isn’t it ever explained how to bust open Bound Serpents? Granted, it only took me like a minute to figure it out, but I went through the whole game without figuring out how to break open the Legend things. That was really only because I forgot I even had the move.
There is a funny tidbit about how when he was working under Vivendi that they wouldn’t ever call the game an RTS, because publishers were apparently afraid of console RTS I suppose.
