DSi A Game you Can Lose Yourself in...Literally...Sort OfThe integration of hardware capabilities and somewhat corny gameplay has come together many times before, and today EA launched its foray into the field of “innovative and creative gameplay” with Foto Face: The Face Stealer Strikes. This game uses the Nintendo DSi’s camera and microphone to let players put their own picture and voice in the game, only to have it stolen. After you have taken a picture of your head and attached it to one of eight hero costumes, ranging from barbarian to ninja, you find yourself chasing after the creatively named face thief, The Professor.

Harvey Elliott, Vice President and General Manager Casual, EA Play Label, goes into detail about the concepts behind Foto Face:

Foto Face: The Face Stealer Strikes is a great example of how EA is pushing the boundaries of innovative and creative gameplay. “By using Nintendo DSi features such as the camera, we’ve significantly deepened the experience by allowing players to personalize the adventure in fun and quirky ways that will deliver hours of entertainment.

To enhance the gameplay experience, the game ships with the ability for users to capture the images, expressions and voices of twenty friends, family, pets or anything else that comes to mind. These images and sounds are then placed throughout the gameworld, where they can be loaded onto facebook to share with friends.

Foto Face: The Face Stealer Strikes is available today, November 30, 2009 in North America, and on the fourth of December in the rest of the world. The game can be download at the Nintendo DSi shop for 800 Nintendo Points.
