Rock Band Reaches 1,000 Track Milestone
Well, who’d have thought back in 2007 that Harmonix would be so devoted to the whole digital distribution aspect of peripheral based music gaming? Harmonix have today announced that their expansive library of tracks has finally passed the 1,000 mark since the launch of the Rock Band Network.
Harmonix CEO Alex Rigopulos had this to say on this achievement:
When we launched Rock Band two years ago, we made a promise to create a music gaming experience that delivered on a weekly basis more songs and artists than ever imagined.
He went on to state:
We’re extremely proud to pass this remarkable milestone of over 1,000 songs in Rock Band and will continue to innovate and bring more of the best music to Rock Band players all over the world.
Maybe it’s because I’m clearly biased when it comes to the to the franchise’s competition with Guitar Hero, but this clearly illustrates the capabilities a devoted dev can have on the longevity of a product via continuous support.
