Infinity Ward Beaten At Their Own Game
For anyone that owns Modern Warfare 2, it’s likely that it might not have left your disk tray since you purchased it. You’ll have either been completing the story and then replaying on Veteran, buddying up to play Spec Ops, engaging in the multiplier or continuously playing through one of the tutorial levels.
You might not agree with that last one, but somebody certainly would. Over on the WePlayCOD Forums, a user by the name of Cannonsimp has screenshot evidence of him beating Infinity Ward’s best time for the tutorial level ‘The Pit’.
Whilst it’s not strictly a tutorial, the exact same level is also included in Spec Ops mode. Cannonsimp has managed to complete the level in 00:22.50 (or 22.5 seconds). That’s a whole tenth of a second faster than IW’s best of 22.6 seconds.

That’s not so amazing… On Call of Duty 4, IW’s best time on F.N.G. was 15.1 but me and a friend eventually got down to 13.06
Plenty of other people beat IW times too – this is not article worthy…

Clan mate got 22.10 and theres the video to prove it. Another member got 21.90 but no video.
I tried it about 15 times and got my time down to 18.34.

IW’s best time….seriously another waste of article. There are lots of hardcore games with developer’s best time included to the game. Epic games have this, so what if you beat a developer’s score, what so special about that or important?
I actually think its pretty amazing that someone can go through this course that quick. If you have to bitch about what a terrible article it why the f*** are you reading it then! Wow….

ya thats pretty good but i only tried like 5 or 6 times and i got 24 one time so i could probably beat iw time pretty easy if i kept trying. i also know lots of people who say they beat it

And I got a Solo 23.35
I did it in 15.92 IW emailed me and said I will be in the Guinness Book of Records

Who cares about times on the pit? The very first spec ops lvl., no opposition? So hard!! My friend and I just got all 69 stars, and set a new record (2:43) on High Explosives Veteran, thats 4 seconds shaved off IW’s time, btw. I DO IT FOR THE CONSOLE-LESS!!!
15 seconds? That’s impressive considering simply sprinting round the corse without slowing to shoot anything (bar the single knife) took me just under 18 seconds.
Not saying it’s a lie just saying I can’t see how that’s possible.
Best time – SSDD – 21.6 sec
The Pit special ops – 21.9 sec (2 people)
